The Broad

ART// The Broad is one of my favorite contemporary art museums in downtown LA. Admission is free, and the museum is home to more than 2,000 pieces.  Eli and Edythe Broad are lifelong philanthropists who have been collecting pieces for over four decades!  The Broad is essentially a showcase of their personal art collection found inside a 120,000 square foot, $140 million building.  You can find work from renowned artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Andy Warhol and Jeff Koons.  The piece pictured is a photo that I took of Koon's ballon dog.  It weighs 2,000 pounds, and is mirror-polished stainless steel.  The highlight of the Broad is the Infinity Mirror Room created by Yayoi Kusama.  It is surely something that your kids and you would love to experience!
